Tom's stuff is gorgeous, huh?! Nahms big ars miter sar station is the bomb, too.

Can't help on a sharpening bench ... but this is my recently finished chopsaw station. http://woodtalkonline.com/gallery/album/486/89-chop-saw-station/

The only part not finished is a long fence down the left side. Still working on that.

Here's what I ended up building. http://tumblewood.blogspot.com/2011/06/modular-sharpening-station.html It works very well. I do my rough shaping on either my Delta variable speed grinder or my Duo Sharp Diamond stone. I have the series of 1000, 4000, 8000, 12000 stones, then I open up the top drawer and finish things off with 1500 and 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. Once a blade is shaped the process is extremely quick, as I keep the pond filled when I think I may need it.
