Legmaker
Does anyone have a good plan for a dedicated sharpening station ? I also need a miter saw bench plan. Or can someone guide me in the right direction ?
Morton
May be old-school, but I always liked the look of Norm's miter station. Of course, it's huge http://www.newyankee.com/getproduct.php?0201

Chester
Can't help on a sharpening bench ... but this is my recently finished chopsaw station. http://woodtalkonline.com/gallery/album/486/89-chop-saw-station/ The only part not finished is a long fence down the left side. Still working on that. Chester PS - The sketchup file to this is in the Sketchup Library section of this forum.

Vic
Here's what I ended up building. http://tumblewood.blogspot.com/2011/06/modular-sharpening-station.html It works very well. I do my rough shaping on either my Delta variable speed grinder or my Duo Sharp Diamond stone. I have the series of 1000, 4000, 8000, 12000 stones, then I open up the top drawer and finish things off with 1500 and 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. Once a blade is shaped the process is extremely quick, as I keep the pond filled when I think I may need it.
