Torsion Box/Assembly Table Help

Good question....I guess I'll find out soon since that's what I did on my new torsion box. :) I found it much easier as well and couldn't see a good reason not to do it. I suppose having the parts perfectly in line would add some strength, but with all the ribs glued to the skins, I just can't see how it makes all that much of a difference. And being able to drive the brads in head on makes things significantly easier.

And keep in mind that we rarely test the true strength of a torsion box since most of us put it on a base providing 100% support. So losing some strength, in my estimation, doesn't have much impact.

Thanks for the info guys!

Just finished building the table. I ended up having to stagger the joints due to the relatively small size of the table. I haven't quite figured out how to make the Wife park her car outside in the snow, so i can have the garage for my shop. LOL.
