Nick2cd
I just applied the second coat of salad bowl finish. This is a new pattern that I've never tried before.

Thanks! the species are walnut and cherry. the pattern took me a while to figure out. i just couldn't get it to compute in my head how i could get the two strips of checker-boarding. i finally got it though and im pleased with the way it came out

Beechwood Chip
There's a program that lets you lay out end grain cutting board patterns. I haven't tried it.
nateswoodworks
Looks great, the cherry fooled me too as I thought maple or birch. Is it for you or a gift?? On the cutting board in the back, is there a different design towards the back on the left side or is it a relection? Just caught my eye. Thanks Nate! this is a gift. the pattern you see on the cutting board in the back is a small seam of sapwood in the walnut.

Stephens_Shop
Super nice! Getting the pattern always looks easy once it's been done. That would have racked my brain getting it right. That cherry is going to age beautifully. I may have to borrow that combo of wood for the colour, it is fabulous. Stephen.
