Jwest
Finally...I think I got it. So, this may be a bit anticlimatic, but I think my problem was...me. I double checked everything people suggested on here, thanks for the help and advice, and I was coming up with good numbers on everything as far as parallel fence, squareness of blade, etc, and I even used the old blade without getting the burning. Wondering if my feeding technique was a problem, I built myself a featherbord since I don't have one and rarely have ever used one. I made sure it was putting enough pressure to keep the board tight to the fence, and I finally didn't get anymore burning. I see some "polishing" marks, but no burning anymore. I think that the blade must be very sensitive to board movement on some of the harder stuff like oak and maple. When the board is nice and secure, I seem to get the results I'm looking for. I'm guessing I just wasn't doing a great job of keeping the board still during ripping, since I wasn't having issues during crosscutting. Thanks again to everyone for their help, and hopefully this problem is now solved.
