guitar10000
Hello , I am looking for full size patters of different leg styles. Especially the Cabriole Leg. I haven't been able to find them on the internet. If anyone know where I could find them please let me know. Or if you know of a issue of a magazine that has them, Thanks

guitar10000
Hello , Thanks , but there is no full size pattern at that site. Just instructions on how to cut it out on the bandsaw. I am looking for actual size drawings of different leg types so I can make MDF templates. Thanks

bois
Personally, I think half the fun of design is coming up with your own leg designs and shapes. Find a leg style in a magazine or catalog that you find generally appealing, and then get a big sheet of paper, some french curves, and go to town. You can further refine your design on your template (I use 1/4" MDF) using a spindle sander or flexible sanding pad until you get it just right. It's actually a much easier process than you think, and will give you a great sense of satisfaction when you're done.
