Personally, I think half the fun of design is coming up with your own leg designs and shapes. Find a leg style in a magazine or catalog that you find generally appealing, and then get a big sheet of paper, some french curves, and go to town. You can further refine your design on your template (I use 1/4" MDF) using a spindle sander or flexible sanding pad until you get it just right. It's actually a much easier process than you think, and will give you a great sense of satisfaction when you're done.
