Nick2cd
On an iPhone you can download an app that turns ur phone into a level. It reads in .1 degree increments. Would this be accurate enough to use as an angle gauge? I believe I'm getting a wixey for Christmas. I'm going to try this test against the Wixey and then hopefully report back and let you all know. Has anyone else tried this technique?
Rapid Roger
I haven't tried that (don't have an iPhone ) but I think one draw back would be not having magnets to hold the "level" flush to a saw blade or other vertical/angled surface so that both hands would be free for adjustments. Just my first thought about it. Rog
TheOneHandedHandyMan
Sound intriguing. Could be a nice alternative for some people if it is indeed accurate.
dwacker
It works the on the HTC Evo android. I havent tried on my saw but worked perfectly for adjusting my satellite dish. Don
DerekG
I tried one a while back (forget the name) but it lacked the accuracy of .1 degree. It was closer to 3 degrees. I've got a 3gs so maybe the 4 or 4s can be more accurate?
Dak
I dont think you can zero it out like a digital gage. Youll have to take that into account.
Nick2cd
I dont think you can zero it out like a digital gage. Youll have to take that into account. Actually u can zero it. I just Zeroed it to my table saw top then placed it on the 45 of my combo square. It read exactly 45 but it took it a second to settle. Probably cuz I had to hold it steady.
