Office furniture design help

Hello,

I need to build a desk/workspace and some cabinets/book cases for our home office. Although I've built some cabinets, I've never done anything on this scale, so I'm not sure where to start.

Any recommendations out there on websites or software that will help me design it? With my experience level, I need some plans if I can come up with them.

Hey Ken,

I did this very same project a few months ago for my own home office. I made cabinets, desks, shelf. I did it in a couple of phases. One of the very first steps that I did was to put the office into sketchup so that I could try different designs and see how it would look. I'm no expert (very far from it) on any of this but, i would be glad to help out with any questions you may have.

If you haven't already, it might be a good time to start learning Sketchup. Start by laying out the room and lock that aspect of the drawing, then anything else you do won't effect it. Then start adding your rough cabinets. Post some images here and I'm sure you'll get some good feedback.
